My submission for the this week’s photo challenge brought me back to Alhambra palace in Granada, Spain. The wealth of its architecture unfolds past layers that display the interplay of religion, politics and royalty with power.
As power is volatile as passion and it likes to change hands, artisans imprinted on the walls of Alhambra, the taste and glory of its various masters across centuries.

Wonderful place. I posted a whole set a month back, but they didn’t include anything like that lovely photo you got with a spot of sunlight. The spot is so beautifully placed too.

Indeed it is. One can spend many hours there and will snap endless pictures. The spot of sunlight, as it always goes, was a stroke of luck. I’m happy that you liked it too. Thank you.

Thank you, my lovely!
You’d be crazy there. Apart from being a very hot day, and having decided to walk all the way uphill to get there, instead of taking a bus, we were pretty much appreciated excited to stay 4 hours visiting all premises and snapping countless photos. I think I have shots for my entire blog life!

Such beautiful photos, and so to the point. Makes me ashamed of my own meagre contribution to the challenge, which is just plain, silly and unartistic.

Could you please stop complaining about your photos? I’ll start commiserating about my writing if you don’t! Deal?
The place was just too beautiful and none can miss the opportunity to shoot.

Oh, so many places I haven’t been! Southeast Asia is a big missing piece … and Antartica! (and more, of course.) The more I travel, the bigger the world seems.
