Back in 2005, while visiting India, I made these pictures, using a simple Canon PowershotS40.
In the first photo, this mother’s facial expression speaks of her anticipation of what the future might bring for her son.
She was also very proud and happy. It was an exceptional moment for all of us, and I was grateful to register that moment with my camera.
Beautiful photographs

Thank you so much, Janet. I’m sometimes surprised to remember photos like these, made 11 years ago. And I’m grateful that you appreciated it.

It’s a scary thing having a son sometimes, Lucile. So much anticipation.

Thanks, Max. Where have you been over there? I went from Mumbai to New Delhi after a business trip, and from there by car/train to Agra, the Rajasthan, blue and pink city, etc. I wish I had a better camera back then.

Thanks much, Lisa. Great to see you around. How have you been and were are you now? I’ve been totally absent from blogging and lost track if your whereabouts. Hope you’re well. Xx

I’ve been sadly absent too! We just sailed into Penang (last time came by bus) and are making way toward Phuket. Singapore may call me back for a job, but right now I am a free roaming spirit 🤗😘
