Hiding in pixels
Movies mirroring life’s mess
Seeing self on-screen
Living blind in reverse mode
Hurting is not virtual
I joined Writing 201: Poetry. This is my first assignment.
Poetry with the word “Screen.” The poetic form is haiku and the poetic device is alliteration. We could also combine haiku with tanka, which follows a 5-7-5-7-7 syllabic pattern.
Bear with me, I am no poet. I intend to have fun, and learn about poetry, without losing my followers along the way. 😉
You really went all out. I’m going to learn so much.

You may call yourself no poet, but the words you have written definitely say otherwise. Loved what you wrote. Way to go fellow poet. Looking forward to more.

Well, Terri, I truly struggled today and have no idea if I wrote prose or else! Lol
I am already afraid of what is coming next but still daring to try!
How about you?

I struggled too, Lucile. I never heard odf a prose poem before! I think I just wrote a paragraph with flowery words but I did manage an internal rhyme! I will take a look at yours! Wonder what’s in store for us tonight?

No one can write bad poetry as long as it comes from the heart 🙂 You learn by doing, I still write crappy poetry, but as long as one person likes it, it’ll do 😉
