I missed it, but I really like when she does that. I’ve seen other week’s photos. I guess this makes the photo I have of yours more valuable now, eh?

I missed it too. Another blogger twitted and informed about it. Then I looked for the post. I’ll send the link to you.
More valuable? Well, I loved it already, and you too. So nothing really changed. It was just encouraging to see the photo amongst others from real photographers.

The title of your post really touched me… knowing oneself and then start changing the parts that need changed – I hope that there are at least some parts that are ok and can stay 😉 – sounds like a good motto for today! And I already know some parts I like to have changed (which is of course not the same thing as liking to actually do the work of changing them)… my super procrastinations skill for example… 😉

That second photo is amazing. That’s how I feel sometimes. Stood still watching the world race by. I feel like I can’t keep up. I think sometimes we all need to slow down and take a breath and appreciate what’s around us. Not just race through life as fast as possible. Good quotes. 🙂

I really like the second shot Lucile with the way that the main subject seems to be standing still while the world bustles around him. This shot evokes memories of my life in New York City. I moved there from Chicago because it was the only place on earth that seemed to move faster than I did. Somehow the bustle around me made me feel like I was standing still. Of course, now I have the ocean to calm me.

Hi Leya, thank you so much for your lovely and generous comment as well as for visiting the blog.
I was truly surprised to see the photo featured though I loved it from birth to date! 😀
Some images touch me deeply and this is one of them.
Good on you to take this decision. I wish you patience to keep the slow pace and to see the little things that we normally take for granted.
Gandhi said it all much better!
My best wishes and have a fantastic time.
Namaste.

Thank you so much. Ah the like button is a long story, but I may bring it back just because of photos. Most of the times people just want to like and I’m fine with that. I don’t mind if there is no comment.

It’s tricky isn’t it, the like thing is stupid in one way as it can become an obsession worrying how many you receive but at the same time it can sometimes be difficult to know what to say and you may just want to show approval. Comments are more rewarding in the long run though.
LikeLike
I prefer either nothing or comments. Likes are not my preference. I removed after noticing that likes clogged my notifications and I missed to read comments which disappeared when the limit was reached.
And also because I would get a like just a second after posting a 500 words post. How fast one can read? But I do have regular readers who ask me often to bring the like button back. And I know they read my stuff. So that’s only for them that I would reinstall the like thing.
LikeLiked by 1 person
That’s a sensible view on it I think, so many of the ‘likers’ are phoney but for the genuine readers it can be useful sometimes. I’ll watch to see if you reinstall it!

I think I will have to do because I shouldn’t punish the genuine ones because of the ghost likers.

What a delight to reach these Australia. shores and be treated to two fabulous pieces of news. The first site I checked when I had connection again was The Daily Post to find out what the Weekly Photo was (obsessively pathetic, I know). I read through the articles on their page and saw that both your beautiful photography here and your wonderful Imagecraft Bootcamp Challenge were featured. Absolutely fantastic to see your creativity and hard work being recognized. Well deserved.
