It’s meteorological autumn but I’m sticking to the astronomical definition, which declares the end of summer by September 21st. This mindset hasn’t helped me though, as the weather has changed to the usual rain and temps are a few degrees lower.
This made today’s idea to photograph nature, a real challenge in all senses. But every challenge brings an opportunity, isn’t it? And that’s what brought me to shoot flowers, which blossomed alongside concrete and cobble stones. That is nature’s power.
I am joining Lens and Pens by Sally, who hosts each Monday the Sally D’s Mobile Photography Challenge.
Shot with an iPhone5.
The schedule theme for this week’s challenge is: Nature

Lucile, “nature’s power” indeed. It looks as though that is a type of succulent that has given a delicate and brilliant lemony flower to the lucky onlookers. Happy Photo Challenge.

Indeed, Sally, it’s a type of succulent. Thanks for educating me as I had no idea on what kind of plant/flower it was, before reading your comment and then checking on Google. Thank you!

I like the depiction of nature making itself shown resilient no matter what. 🙂

Nature’s resilience should remind human beings of our dependency on their resources, so that we should never destroy such a force.

I love these bursts of nature’s power reminding us that no matter how much concrete we pour, we can never conquer. Hooray for that. Great photos.

Thanks for such a lovely comment, Su. This is really a simple photo and not even of much quality as the light was too bright, but the meaning was more important to me. Thanks for seeing that. Much appreciated.

I love that yellow! such a good choice for this late summer, even though it’s raining on you now. It’s hot here, of course.

Always amazed by the power of nature Lucile, for the plants to be able to find a way to grow. The pictures are beautiful! 🙂

I wished I had shot this another time of the day and with another camera than an iPhone. But hey, it doesn’t matter, I’m learning more when going through the hardest lessons too. Thanks for dropping by!

You’re so kind, Anna. Your summer lasts longer, isn’t it? Send some sunny days up north, please?

Actually , after an infernal July and a burning middle August , now we have plenty of rain and cold days!
I’m still in the country ,( for a few days more )and can’t send you what you asked!

I loved summer this year! We had stable warm and sunny days until August. But I know that warm here is 25c Max 30c, whereas you have much warmer temps in the South.
Rain is back everywhere, isn’t it? So you’re excused to not share the Italian weather with me!
I do like autumn though.
Beautiful light and mild temps.
Let’s enjoy it!
Hugs back at you!
