Here is my take for the Monthly Photo Challenge: The Changing Seasons, which runs from the 7th to the 15th day of the month throughout the year, hosted by Cardinal Guzman.
As usual I take you through the same places and bring new sights of the city.
Enjoy it, and let me know what you think. Click if you wish to enlarge the photos.
The Park
If you follow these posts, you will recognize the park. This time you will see something new there. A lost and found place.
The Moment to play
In the streets of Amsterdam, two young women make soap bubbles for tourists to make money for a trip.
The tourists are still here, including Zorro!
Ah, the tourists, they are always here. And even Zorro and tornado showed up this time. I featured them from distance, as I found a great spot on the top floor of a clothing shop that has a prime view of the busy Dam square. I’ll be there again.
On the boat around the city
And finally, blissful sights of a summer evening during a boat ride.
If you want to compare, click here to see the previous photo galleries:
Photos taken with Olympus E-M10 lens 45mm, 60mm, and 14-42mm
Till next month!
Beautiful. You reflect the vivid life of your beautiful city so well in these pictures.

I can’t wait for summer, although I enjoy the cooler days here at the moment. Just been down to the beach for a walk and thought how much I’m looking forward to go for a swim again…

I can imagine! How cold is now ? And how warm it gets there where you live?

We had a 4C day and when it’s really hot in summer it can go up to 50C… but that’s crazy hot. Normal hot is 37-40C. At least it usually only lasts 2-4 days and then it goes down again to low 30ies before going up again…

It’s quite a contrast. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Sorry it took so long… Yes, it is… we had days in summer where the temperature dropped from 37C to 21C in 15min… It’s crazy here. You never really know what to expect. You can leave the house in shorts and generally feeling too hot and then 10min later you wish you would have taken a coat with you. Never a dull moment 😉

Please, no worries. It’s quite a drop in temperature. Reminds me of São Paulo where we had fours seasons in one day. 😉

Thank you DJ! So happy you liked it. I’m in love with these shadows. I made them from the top floor of H&M shop which I had never been inside. I was coincidently there at the men’s fashion, just looking, when I saw the windows. I’ll be there every month for the seasons’ post.
You now have a new spot to shoot when you’re here next time.

Hi Leanne! Thank you!
You’d have loved to talk to this modern day Zorro then! He’s traveling around Europe by car and dressing up as Zorro to make some money. He charges for the photo! And we had a lovely chat as he is a politely sarcastic guy! If that can be said in correct English!

Ok, now I’m entirely convinced that Amsterdam is the coolest city in the world. I mean, how cool is the male cyclist in shorts with a suit jacket? ❤

great fun shots. Love the height one. So the lost and found, is that lost people or things? I expect that gets quite some attention. We have someone doing those large bubbles at Southbank the kids go crazy x

Lost and found is not for people but objects. It seems to be popular. The location is very central too.

Just have to ask: how did you do to get such good shots of the soap bubbles?
LikeLike
Nothing special. A good combination of factors. Good light as it was a bit before sunset, and the narrow street and buildings created a nice shadow.
And I used a 45mm (90 mm) lens with aperture 1.8. And speed 1/1600s. I just followed the bubbles and kept shooting. I have many shots.

It might be about the ambient light. I tried to capture soap bubbles a couple of weeks ago and they ended up barely visible in my photos. It was around noon on a very sunny day.
LikeLike
I think at noon it’s too much light. This light was really ideal, and I didn’t need to edit any photo.
