Week 32: Wrap up Photo101 Rehab

The Photo Rehab is a great community to share photos, learn new techniques, discover new talents, and connect.

Firstly, a warm welcome to the three new members of the Photo Rehab:  Janet from This, That and The other Thing,  Tobias, from the Empire of Lights, as well as Amanda from Something to Ponder About who joined the Tech of the Month created by Perelincolors! The featured image is hers!

They are the new patients of the Photo Rehab! So please go and check their blogs as well.

In December 2014, after completing the Photo101 course, I opened the Photo Rehab Event in this blog, a ‘healing clinic’, for all of us who love photography (hobbyists, amateurs, pro-shooters and enthusiasts) who missed the course and daily interaction with other photobloggers.

I am always inspired by the photos shared within our community of photobloggers, and here you can see their skills translated into stunning images.

Here are the photos of week 32. At the bottom you find instructions on how to participate!

If you posted for the Photo Rehab and didn’t find your photos here, apologies! I can only add your photos if I find your photos on InLinkz. Another way is to find a link on a comment or a pingback to my blog. I do prefer InLinkz as there you expose your photos to a larger audience.

Now it’s wrap up time!  You will see this week’s latest pictures, but I encourage you to follow the links below to visit the blogs of all ‘patients’!  You won’t regret. You will find a mix of beautifully crafted images and words.

The stage is theirs!

Nalinki from Angles and Views has cats and they love to take over her shoes!

Cardinal Guzman from Artishorseshit creates beauty with peppercorns!

Becky from Restart Urgently Needed shares a story we should never forget: The destruction of Sarajevo’s city hall, during the war, and of its library with 2 million books.

BadFish Out of Water is still in Bali, but want to stay a week longer. I guess you can still head to his blog and join the pools to vote for which destination he should take next! How cool is that?

Chris Breebaart showing the vital transportation of goods in Holland with all its power.

Debbie from Deb’s World coolest selfie ever!

Tobias from the Empire of Lights expressing happiness in the streets (Le bonheur dans la rue ).

Amanda from Something to Ponder About shared stunning images made with long exposure. It is a winner.

Frances from Imaniking brings fun photos of the epic escapade of the Peacock from kids visiting her place. She also shows an exquisite collection of Indian bangles!

Desley from Musings of a Frequent Flying Scientist is celebrating her birthday today in pink fashion! Happy Birthday my dearest friend and partner in crime! Many happy returns.

And that is not all! Look ate these Spiderwebs made of jewels! And how about her photos of Melbourne and of a cute dog in Amsterdam?

Julia from My Red Page misty images are blissful.

Loisjay from …On Pets and Prisoners paints inspiring apricot sunsets all over the blogosphere.

Are you ready to travel in black and white around the world with Gunroswell from Rantings from a Third Kind ? Fasten your seat belt, you’re in for a treat! And you get poetry as bonus.

Janet from This, That and The Other Thing brings amazingly cute portraits for our enjoyment.

Thank you everyone! What a line up this week!

You can visit all other photos of all patients here: Photo Rehab

Here are all 41 participants since January 2015.  Go and check their wonderful blogs as well.

Time: The Clinic is open 24 x 7

Camera: You can use any camera, from DSLR, mirrorless, compact, to smartphones.

Theme: Bring your creativity and photograph a theme of your liking in B&W or Color. With or without edition. We like learning techniques as well, if you want to share it with everyone.

Who can join: Anyone can join. All you need is passion. Passion to speak up through images – or words, if you may want to add your thoughts to it as well – showing what you see and how much that is important to you.

You can do a self-examination. If you detect any of the following symptoms, as carefully described by Albert from the blog Trigger Happy, come and join us: “Withdrawal symptoms may include the incessant need to carry your camera everywhere with you, the need to wake up in the wee hours to take photos during the golden hour, and checking up on others you met during the course to see what their newfound knowledge has brought fruit to.”

How does it work:

  1. Shoot a photo.
  2. Prepare your post and publish it. Remember to Pingback to this post and to use the tag #PhotoRehab so that we can find your post in the WP reader.
  3. Add your photo to the link provided below. In this way, you expose your photo to the other participants and the audience of the Photo Rehab.
  4. Here is the link to add your photos. Knock the wall of the Clinic… and click on the image below:

    1. Isn’t that a fabulous line up? This week was a bit more work because more than 50% of the photos had no links or pingbacks. We cannot trust these pingbacks. That’s why I hope that everyone brings their photos to inlinkz. Otherwise I may miss them.

  1. What a gallery! all those pictures are so great, I am about to knock at the door of your clinic! I meant to join earlier but internet had been down for a month (you can’t have it all I guess 😉 I am back on line looking forward to joining the crew. Happy week to you all

  2. I just really love that you do this line up at the end of the week. Many times I don’t have/take the time to go visit everyone/anyone’s site, so it’s cool that you have them here. It makes for a truly wonderful post!!! And some/most of these shots are just outrageous!

    1. I’m very efficient, don’t you say so? Lol I even anticipate your needs and deliver solutions proactively! 😉 I’m da woman!
It’s a great way also for me to take time and visit all patients. It’s the doc’s weekly check up at the Clinic!

      1. I’m about to post a post, but for some reason I could not open your site, either through following you from your comment on my blog, nor by entering your url in the browser. Are you still here…or is something wrong on this end in Bali?

                1. Hahaha I’m afraid I contributed to this! You needed some excitement before going back to your comfy place! And how’s it going? Tell me more.
Ah by the way my friend could get a hold of you via your blog contact info. I helped a bit and don’t know if she succeeded. Has she contacted you?

                  1. I don’t think so. But I haven’t been looking at Hotmail much. I don’t have my email on my blog. I want to make a separate one just for the blog…and haven’t done it yet!! Do you have my email?

                    1. No, don’t mind at all. If she wrote, I will try to find it…some time after returning home. If I don’t find it, have her write again…with something like Lucile’s friend in the subject line

                    2. I’ll do so. Thank you so much. She’s traveling only at the end of the month. Very nice of you to help my friend when you hate me so much. You might be a good or weird person! lol or both.
                      Cheers to that!

                    3. Just so you know. From
August 19-25 there will be another edition of Sail 2015 in Amsterdam.
Over 50 tall ships from all over the world come here and we can visit them. It’s a big event and party all
these days. It ends every night with fireworks. Photographic his fun.

                    4. I saw that one year. Did not get one good photo, but it was fun! Didn’t see the fireworks…I’m in bed early, even in Amsterdam! But also, up early…before most in Amsterdam, or anywhere.

                    5. Only last time I went almost every night by boat which is much more fun. I didn’t study for fireworks either because it’s late. But you could have done because midnight is über early, isn’t it? 😉

                    6. Hey, should I be linking to some post during this week, or to the original post that discusses the Rehab?
And I can tell you are going to get me miffed bigtime if you’re out in a boat!

What do you think? I'd love to hear it all.
