I’m back to Colleen’s Writer’s Quote Wednesday!
I chose “Imagination” as my theme this week, and that has perfectly matched with Colleen’s choice from Elizabeth Gilbert, reminding us, that it’s never too late, to try and write.
I will dare to add that it’s never too late, to do anything in life. I just heard of a 92 year old man who is learning to play saxophone. Why not me? I always wanted the same, so I’d better do it.
Our imagination is always there, waiting to be unleashed. Let’s take it for a walk.
Have a good day!
Learning new things in life would definitely keep our minds sharper, as well as making the best of your days on earth. Always love to read about inspirations such as this 92 year old sax player. 🙂

I’m ready to learn a new language….sometimes I say to myself.
Then there are the everyday ‘s duties and requests (by sons , nieces , sisters , which I can’t deny ) and having each day only 24 hrs ……
Often I’m tired and need more than some rest , being nearly ….ty years old…
Must say that I’m a happy woman, after recovering from a bad illness , and imagination does the rest!
As usual I loved your post!

We all have our unique motives and reasons why we lead our lives the way we do. The most important is to be happy with our decisions. Even if that means not following a wish.
You’re not only a happy woman, but a wise and inspiring one.
Abraços!!

I use to play clarinet for 6-7 yrs. Wow, the band is expanding 🙂 Inspiration and imagination is what life should be along with living a loving compassionate existence. I want to learn Spanish very soon!

You summarized it brilliantly, Barbara.
Would you fancy joining the band? You’re so far the only one with skills and experience! Lol
Good luck with learning Spanish!

Haha, Lucile, it has been years since I played so it might sound more like screeching. Thanks, for the well wishes on Spanish. I’ve some sort of mental block and am having some trouble…maybe it’s age 🙂

I would love to join the band but have no musical ability, although I once sang in the school choir so I guess I could be a backing vocalist 😉

Fabulous! You’re in! By the way, I have no idea if I have musical ability, but we will together find out!

What a coincidence! I wrote the words, “why not me?” as soon as I woke up this morning. I wasn’t writing about learning to play an instrument, but it was something that would require similar effort to get good at. I’m going for it! Perhaps I will blog about it if I don’t break my neck in the early days of working toward my (for now) top secret ambitious goal.
When that band you’re assembling has its first gig, I want to be in the front row. 😀

Life would be awfully boring without a little imagination. Fantastic quote, Lucile. Really gets you thinking about life is all about in the first place.
