Together with my husband, last Saturday I have ‘officially’ opened my race cycling season. It was a beautiful sunny day, with light wind and magic blue skies.
We followed a light track from Amsterdam, via Ijburg, to Muiden, just to warm up for further rides in the next weeks.
Whenever possible I took some photos with an iPhone 6, as I was preparing to join Sally’s challenge on Nature. Ok, that’s not only nature that you’re going to see here, as I couldn’t resist to let you see all views during the ride. Enjoy it.

I am joining Lens and Pens by Sally, who hosts each Monday the Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge.
The schedule theme for this week’s challenge is: Nature
Beautiful country, and nature along your route! I love the little goats.

That’s a marvelous sport to enjoy nature–meandering my bicycle through the waves of roads with waterways. Happy biking season and Happy Photo Challenge.

We share the same interest, Sally. My rides end up being much longer because of that. Thank you so much.

What sort of racing do you do, Lucile? Bill goes more for the long rides. He went on a 22-mile one tonight and at the beginning of June, we’re going to South Dakota, where he’ll ride about 100 miles in 2 days. I’ll be driving. 🙂 You have a beautiful place to train.

I don’t join official races as we do it for fun only. We like longer rides. This ride was short, about 30km only and I hope to do more as the weather improves.
Have you ever joined your husband?
He seems to be a pro!
Yes, we have a flat country with beautiful cycle paths. That’s helping the motivation! 😉

The trees in the Netherlands look just as nice and green as they do here at the moment. I love this time of the year!

It could just be a bit warmer….at least here. Ah, and less rain!
Berlin has more stable weather, isn’t it?.

It tends towards the continental here. But I would prefer a more maritime climate by far! I love that humid air!

Well, not sure if I can recommend our unstable weather. It’s very windy and unpredictable.

It is Barbara! This country is very small and we don’t need to be too far to meet cows, lambs and other animals. It’s like living in a farm!!

Beautiful photos, and they’re cheering up what is a very grey day in here in London, these are the glorious spring time colours I am supposed to be seeing at the moment!

Thanks Laura, but…this glorious blue color lasted one day (only 10C) and is over since Sunday. As I write, I hear the storm outside. 😦

Oh no! I guess it makes us appreciate it more but it would be nice to enjoy just a few days of it at least! Here’s hoping we are both blessed by better weather soon 🙂

It does! Fingers crossed!! Otherwise I’ll be arriving in London soon, flying over with my house as the wind force is brutal today! 😉

Ha I’m not sure you’ll land here though as we’ve got enough wind to keep you floating on! It seems as though no one is getting a lovely spring 😦

That’s so true. Well,it seems that warm wind is coming from South Europe next week. Cross fingers. And have a lovely weekend.

Gorgeous photos and the weather looks wonderful! Your bike path looks very similar to our American River Bike Trail; flat, and follows the river! Enjoy your rides!!

Thanks Terri. Happiness lasted one day only! Back to rain since Sunday.

Like them! They are not the super powerful ones, but those are for sponsored pros who have people paying for the toys!

Yes. I would really love a new mountain bike, but the price is between 3500-6000 Euro, so I’ll stick to my old one.

They’re outrageously expensive.
My race bike was affordable and offers what I can use. After all I’m not doing the Tour de France!

Yes, the prices are totally ridiculous. You can buy a used car for the price of a new bike.

Lovely shots. Except for the safe places for cyclists to ride, that could be near where I live. 🙂 We consider cyclists moving targets, apparently.

Thank you. I guess you live in London! I was there two weeks ago and made some photos of them. I would never bike there. Too dangerous.

I actually live in the U.S. My fiancee is a Londoner, so I’ve been there a lot. I wouldn’t bike here or London.
