I am very happy to join Cee’s challenge for the first time. This week’s topic is Construction.
Here is what is expected from us: “My first thought on this topic was road construction but you can have any type of construction you want. A person building a dog house to a skyscraper to making a road or repair of patch of asphalt. So have fun with this topic and I look forward to seeing what all you bloggers come up with. Use your imagination and creativity with this topic.”
I shot this construction worker having a cigarette break at this building site. I wish I had another lens with me as his deep expression caught my attention. I went for the moment despite the quality.
I didn’t have an appropriate lens for the photo, so the sharpness is not perfect. Editing it too much would have made it worse. I used a 14-42mm (equivalent to 28-84mm) and a mirrorless Olympus E-M10.
Using the same camera, I shot construction workers on the top of a skyscraper. They didn’t seem to work in safe conditions. That scared me.
I used LightRoom to improve contrast in both photos.

What interesting shots you captured to describe ‘construction’…. The worker looks perfectly relaxed while hanging out perched high above … However indeed the roof spot looks rather treacherous!
Have a great start to your Wednesday 🙂

Just lucky to be around and with a camera when they were working like that.
My Wednesday was uneventful and good. Hope yours is behaving well.
Cheers!

My Wednesday was good but uneventful too! At least the weekend is near …

Indeed. Then when accident happens, there are hundreds of excuses to cover that kind of things up.
Thanks!

Thank you so much, Cee. I was a bit disappointed to kick off with photos that weren’t sharp as I had wished, and I’m glad you accepted them.
Thanks for having me here.
