I joined in January the Monthly Photo Challenge named The Changing Seasons, which runs from the 7th to the 15th day of the month throughout the year, hosted by Cardinal Guzman.
I am shooting a mix of nature and places I like in Amsterdam, so that if you don’t know it yet, you can also get a feel on how the city looks like.
Here is my February gallery. Enjoy it and let me know what you think. I learn a lot from every comment you make, and I also love talking to you.
If you want to compare, click here to see the gallery I made for The Changing Seasons #1.
In this gallery you can see the following places:
- Amstel river; the city has been named after it.
- Geldeserkade
- Typical Amsterdam houses with sun reflections.
- The Dam Palace at Dam square; a busy place throughout the year.
- The Rijksmuseum and the ice skating rink.
- Views of the Borneo Eiland canals – Stuurmankade, Stokerkade, and Borneokade – in the new and modern area of the East harbor, just 5-10 min from the center.
- Views of the Vondelpark
Photos taken with Olympus OM-D M1 and OM-D E-M10 mirrorless.
Till next month!
You have such an amazing city you live in. The bird infested square and the water shots it’s almost like Venice seeing the canals etx. I will get to visit sometime. I wonder how long a flight is from me to you! X

Your photos make me feel as if I’m there! I especially love the colorful Canalhouses and the seagull that’s perched atop a piece of ice in the river…What a gorgeous city — The ice rink looks like a fun place to hang out too in the winter….
Much love from NYC and happy Sunday!

Thank you, Lia!
The ice rink is packed with kids learning to skate. As they use chairs, it becomes chaotic.
Much love back to you. Happy Sunday and a lovely new week!

Dipping in from the challenge (though I haven’t done my Feb one yet – waiting for the sky to stop being so dull!). You have some lovely images here and I really like the canal houses and both the sunset and sunrise ones. Great light captured. Off to look at your January set now to compare.

Hi Jude, thank you so much for visiting the blog. I am happy you liked the gallery. I made some photos last week but they were colorless and I decided to bet on a sunnier day. It worked. Hope you like the first gallery. Let me know what you think. I didn’t shoot again some of the locations.
Cheers.

Thanks Cardinal. It’s a small city, making it easy to show a bit of everything. The first gallery had way too many buildings.
Have a good week.
